This is a naked portafilter designed specifically for the 9Barista Mk.2 espresso machine. It features a larger aperture than the standard portafilter, offering a full, unobstructed view of the espresso extraction process. This is not only visually satisfying for espresso lovers, but also highly practical. By seeing the extraction in real time, users can easily spot issues such as channelling, uneven flow, or other inconsistencies in puck preparation.

Please note that proper puck prep is essential when using a naked portafilter. Without even distribution, you may experience spritzing, fine jets of coffee caused by channelling. Careful tamping will minimise this.
