Water is leaking from the safety valve
Problem
Water is leaking from the safety valve.
Solution
1. Replace the Safety Ring and Seals
In most instances the safety valve leaks becase the Safety Ring has been overheated. This is a failsafe that is designed to leak it the machine is overheated.
If the Safety Ring has overheated then you will notice that water is leaking out of a small hole on the side of the safety ring.
To replace the safety ring and Safety Ring Seals, follow these instructions. (A spare Safety Ring and pair of Safety Ring Seals were provided with your machine)
2. Ensure the Safety Valve is fully fastened to the Boiler
If the Safety Valve is not fully tightened to the Boiler, it will cause a leak to occor between the Boiler and Safety Valve. Ensure that the Safety Valve is fully screwed into possition.
2. Replace the Safety Valve
If Safety Ring and the Safety Ring Seals are intact, and the Safety Valve is correctly fastened to the Boiler, then a replacement Safety Valve is required. Replacement can be purchased here.
